Agreed. I'm an ICU nurse who recently left Ochsner main campus. The pay is shite compared to other facilities and one of the fellows that unit is trying to transfer to my new hospital. Docs and nurses are severely overworked. Can't speak for the doctors, but nurses go there for experience in higher acuity units, sacrificing pay for experience.

Thank god. Lafayette General pat is crap.

Maybe Oschner can help modernize Lafayette some.

ETA: well maybe not. See below.

the official press release sounds alot more like a soft merger than an official re-brand to Ochsner

Eh, doubt it was simple. Small mistakes get made but it takes a pattern to get fired

A HIPAA violation (and I’m sure other things) will get you fired immediately

They sure haven’t helped LSU monroe, Conway any. We are still about 40 percent over staffed.

Even that depends.

Technically leaving a computer without logging off is a hippa violation but they dont fire people for that.

It's a co-branding from what I've heard from someone who works there. But that's also only expected for 5-7 years before a full takeover. I think that's just speculation though.

Depends on the patient. Hippa was designed to protect celebrities

They’ve been courting for months. They only just became officially engaged yesterday evening when the LGMC board voted to move ahead.
