No, but if the current weakens so does the gyre effect.

That current has been supposedly collapsing since the 70’s. Was part of the “new ice age” threat back then.

Yet the Azore’s high keeps spinning and the water keeps flowing.

New Yorks sea level has risen roughly 9" since 1950 partially due to current slowing. There are obviously other factors contributing, just pointing out it isn't like nothing has changed since the 70s and the numbers show the change is accelerating. It rose ~3 inches from 1950 to 1995 and ~3 inches from 1995 to 2015. We can always move shite, it is the weather patterns that will be more annoying to deal with.

Been hearing about this shite for 30-40 yrs.

Y2K was going to end the world as we know it as well.

If you removed water from one bowl to make ice in another, what would the level in the non iced bowl be? That’s a much better analogy than your water bottle.

And the fact that he's assuming said ice would only exist in the oceans. But an ice age IN Europe (as this climate fear porn is suggesting) would have glaciers, made of ocean water, moving over land...so it would likely lower ocean levels as it's taking water out of the oceans and bringing it over land.

ETA: I wonder if it's just a coincidence that this ice age would occur in Europe, where the climate change insanity has taken the strongest hold.

Then you won’t mind naming all of the predictions that have came true.

Oh and why bother? The science 10 years ago said we had 10 years to correct it or it was not reversible. Sooo. Why are we still worried about it?

Ok. So the thinking is… the dissolution or weakening of the current will cool down Northern Europe.

Now. What are they claiming is happening in Great Britain as far as temperature? As this belt of current has been weakening?

Damn, they hit all the bingo scare words in this article.

Yet Plymouth Rock is still at sea level, seems like a local problem.

A few weeks ago, I spent 20 minutes arguing with ChatGPT about global warming...after suffering through biased, long winded responses from ChatGPT, I was finally able to get it to admit that humans may not be the cause for any perceived present day warming trends.

Peter Higgs predicted the Higgs Bosom particle in 1964.

Nasa climate models aggregate is lining up with observed climate change pretty well.

Predicting climate is impossible on a short scale because there are too many factors to calculate them all. On the long term scale they get things more or less right not-withstanding a clataclismic unforeseen event

Haha high tide and low tide are much greater variance than 9"

If you took a high tide photo of Plymouth rock in 1950 it would be higher than a low tide photo in 2023.

So it's gone from temperatures rising to an ice age?

Yes. He introduced the theory of the particle that gives matter its mass. What this has to do with countless failed man made climate change predictions, I don’t know.

Then why are scientists given so much credibility and credence when they do it? Why are they not publicly admonished when they make careless short term claims?

And for the claims in the 80’s and 90’s… is 30 to 40 years too short? Because we keep hearing about 5 years here, 3 years there, 10 years over there…

And you missed this one:
quote:

Ok. So the thinking is… the dissolution or weakening of the current will cool down Northern Europe.

Now. What are they claiming is happening in Great Britain as far as temperature? As this belt of current has been weakening?

They are claiming the arctic melt off is raising the temperature more than the gulf stream weakening is cooling it.

The sea level rise would be due to the current weakening so the gyre affect would lessen, not due to ice forming in northern Europe (which is why ice age was a stupid word to use)
