And I thought I was cool with my Festina Road Warrior. Would love a similarly styled Tag.

Still have it, though. About 15 years old and still works. Too bad the brand got wrapped up in the Tour de France doping scandals.

I swear you have ask me that before.

How about this, you give me a 126710 Pepsi and I will give you the Hulk and 350.

The prices Hulks are OOC, the new ones are going for $15k and I see used ones offered at over $12k. Batmans are at about 16 and new steel Pepsis run near 18. New white gold subs are over 32. Rolex is the master of manufactured scarcity.

Hey, I have that Tissot heritage visodate. Just had to send it in to get the crown fixed.

Really like that Certina DS. Reminds me of the “pepsi” Rolex that’s so popular

Is that the one that has the chain link crown protector? I always thought that was cool since I am a cyclist but that is a big chunk of a watch.

I’ve been considering picking up this Ball Trainmaster 80 hour. Can’t decide between blue, black, or silver dial. I’m leaning toward blue at the moment. What’s your opinion on Ball?

Not much bigger than any other watch. I have really enjoyed it. I wore it a good bit in college so it got banged up a little bit (why I had to replace the crown) but it has no scratches or any serious issues and still is my favorite watch. I have two tissots, two citizens and a victorinox. My collection is not near as impressive as most but I’m young and just getting started

I have the Ebel Sport Classic that I got from my dad when he passed. It is probably 20 years old. I want to give it to my son, but it needs new battery and a good cleaning.

Any opinions good or bad about Ebel, especially in the timeframe of 10 years ago? Also, can you suggest a good watchmaker in the Dallas area to service it?

I like Ball, they have a lot of technology in their watches. That one has the new in-house 80-hour movement and it is a COSC certified. It has great shock and anti-magnetic properties. It has tritium tubes so they always glow the only negative is they do decrease in intensity over time Ball says 25y to replacement but some say 15y. That said they aren't that expensive to replace. Ball also uses 904L steel like Rolex which holds a better polish, is more corrosion resistant and has a slightly more white cast than "normal" 316L but it costs more and more of a PITA to machine.

I prefer the blue but I am a sucker for blue dials.

If you haven't picked a retailer talk to Rob at Topper Fine Jewelry in Burlingame CA. 888-730-2221

I have a vintage Hamilton and a Longines that was bought for me, that I love. Might get a Longines Master Collection Annual Calender or maybe a Longines with the 13zn movement. Despite being a mid-tier brand, I really am impressed with it. Also might get another Hamilton next.

Ebel has always made great watches, they made them for Cartier for quite a while. The Sport Classic is one of their, well, classic designs, it screams Ebel. As for getting it back up and running in Dallas talk to Joseph at Swiss Watch Repair, it is up next to the Galleria should be easy to find their addie/phone online.

The 6100 I bought from a friend. The others I have owned I bought new from Watchbuys which is in NC and the only US distributor. They specialize in German watches. They also do roadshows around the country.
