Yes, there are a lot of fat people out there, but I want to know what they consider obese. 40% seems rather high, outside of your local Walmart.

Are they using BMI? BMI is a horrible indicator for obesity. I'm 5'10", and a muscular 210 pounds. No one would call me fat. According to BMI, I am considered obese.

How else would you suggest they determine obesity levels for general populations? We tend to apply it to the sloppy fat level, but obese is a lot smaller than most people assume.

What get me is how fat kids are nowadays. I see it at the beach all time. I'm not talking about "baby fat" either.

Yep, flabby arse kids with gynecomastia, etc. Sickening.

If you’re not slender, you’re overweight and even many that are slender are skinny-fat. The pathetic thing is that it’s said even most post people that are thin these days without dieting usually have some other illness physical or mental that reduces their consumption or ability to keep down/not pass through digestion quickly because it’s apparently that hard for anyone to make good choices for themselves. You just can’t eat out because everything is loaded with unnecessary calories even if you do try to limit your portions and there’s usually a fuss asking for things to be left out of meals to reduce calories eating out. People also don’t realize that 3 cans of coke a day is a pound a week difference. Then there’s the fat shaming movement. Why would people change if they’re told it’s okay? Tough love is fine. Most people don’t realize how much they’re paying for other’s medical bills to treat conditions mostly all weight related, it IS everyone’s problem how much other people weigh
