They did the same thing back in January. Must be a few officers of German descent on the force.....

This firearm may not look like much, but it is still very dangerous in the wrong hands. Thankfully our Transit officers from District 34 were able to recover it after breaking up a fight near their precinct and placed the known gang member who possessed it under arrest.

Glad you eight officers prevented that stage coach robbery at high noon!

It is with great sorrow upon my breast, that I must pen this letter. The law men of York hath rounded me up, and disarmed me of 'Ol Trusty. It is sadder still, that I must now leave Maribelle behind to tend to our six children on the farm. I go now to the dark cell, awaiting the gallows. I have fought the law, and most grievously, the law won.

Are they saying it took 60 men or men from the 60th?

Looks very similar to a piece of crap revolver that my great grandfather owned. There was not a marking to be found on it and it was inoperable. It was typical of very early 20th century crappy handguns owned by folks who couldn't afford a s and w or colt

I am surprised they didn't call in batf. They certainly need to be applauded for their initiative in removing this dangerous technology from the streets. After this coup I heard they will start a campaign against letter openers and scissors

it reads like it took 60 men, but if you read all the other similar tweets about guns, it really means the unit, not 60 men

FP-45 Liberator
Air dropped during WW2. The plan was to drop it in such great quantities that occupying forces could never capture or recover all of them.
quote:

The FP-45.... had just 23 largely stamped and turned steel parts... fired the .45 ACP... unrifled barrel....maximum effective range was only about 25 feet (8 m)...delivered cost for the FP-45 was $2.10/unit, lending it the nickname "Woolworth pistol".

That’s probably 110-120 years old. S&W and Iver Johnson made revolvers similar to that.

Edit: It’s not a top break so it might be newer.

The theory behind the Liberator was that you walk up behind the Nazi and pop him in the noggin with the one round. Then you grab his weapon and ammo for real fighting. Not even sure why they included the extra rounds since you had to basically take the thing apart (and poke the fired casing out with a stick) to reload it. You would be some kind of dead if you had to reload it in a gunfight.

Would still take it over the revolver shown in the OP.

I’m against defunding the police, but maybe they don’t need quite as much as they’re getting now.

I was foreman on a jury (long time ago) in a trial where the criminal, decided to rob a small convenience store on Woodrow Wilson Drive in Jackson.

All he had was a gun that looked worse than the one you show. He went in and hit one person in the head with it. They managed to run out the door while he was hitting a 78 year old man in the head, blooding him up pretty good, from the photos and knocking him to the floor. At trial, the old guy looked like he might weigh 110 pounds.

There were a bunch of kids playing a video game in the store and he made them lie on the floor, telling them he would kill all of them if they moved. Then he pointed the gun at the guy behind the counter, demanding all the money.

About that time, the Jackson PD pulled up in response to the silent alarm the clerk hit when the guy first showed his gun. As the criminal turned toward the door, the bloody old geezer on the floor pulled the guy's legs out from under him and held him until the cops made it inside.

What was his excuse in trial? "If they say I did that, I must have done it. I don't know because I had been on Cocaine for three days when I decided to rob the place. I did it to get some more cocaine money."

We found him guilty of all charges and he got two life sentences at Parchman Farm. It took our biracial jury maybe 10 minutes to convict him. Most of that because I insisted every juror had to give their opinion or make a statement to their fellow jurors. I really hated to send him away solely on the shitty opinion I had about what he had done.

I started with the lady seated to my left and was the last to address the other jurors. I think all I said was, "Well, Let's vote." when it was my turn.

Probably the worst part of my job as foreman was the time it took me to fill out the deliberation results on the paperwork they gave us when we went in to deliberate.

Edited to add:

Oh, by the way, if that POS was loaded and he was close enough, he could have killed you just a quickly as me with my Colt Combat Commander 45.

They guy was lucky no one shot him.
