LINK
Firefighters took Marie Bowman, 70, from second-floor Harlem apartment
They used crane and net after she couldn't fit through the door of her home
The last time she left the apartment or walked was in September 2014
It always boggles my mind that a person who can't walk can get to be so obese. I mean damn, she ain't getting up to feed herself or even wipe her own azz so who the hell keeps bringing her all of the food, cleaning her nasty azz, etc.
Yeah, I get that she is retired, has a disability, and obviously has people deliver food, come to her house to care for her but damn, somebody needs to step up and not let crap like this get so out of control.
Damn - the poor firefighters!!!
ETA- the report says "2nd floor apt but her apartment also has 2 floors of businesses, etc unnder it so the pic show that it looks she is up on the 4th floor

Pretty rank I imagine. I remember my fiancee talking of the rescues he did of the obese while with the NOFD. he said they would find patients like this literally stuck to the floor in layers of their own filth, surrounded by chicken bones and other food debris.

The faces of the guy's faces are hilarious. The expesiions of the poor people involved in the rescue of this behemoth are priceless.
Damn, what kind of ambulance do you need to do a rescue like this? I know in Mexico they used a flatbed truck to bring one huge dude to the hospital but in America there are special ambulance (with super duty suspension, shocks and stuff) to handle wide loads like this one.
