I made no such claim.

Perhaps learn to read.

This:

quote:

Smoking weed was not and has never been essential to survival

Is not this:

quote:

No you claimed there was no evidence for survival benefits.

I’m a little over 40, which means my life has tracked over the start to finish of the movement to get cigarettes out of public life.

So why does pot smoke/smell get a pass?

Pot is the official smell of Walmart now.

Is it illegal to smell like cigarettes?

Here's a good game...guess the name of the school

My Freshman & sophomore years in High School (1976-1977) in Louisiana (some can easily guess the school) we were allowed to:

1. Smoke cigarettes in designated areas on campus.
2. Many smoked weed in those areas as well

The attitude of the school administration was "smoking weed in moderation is ok". One administrator, had 1-2 pot plants growing in his office.

Who can name the school?

Here's the problem with that: let's say someone fires it up in public. A cop makes contact with him to cite/arrest him and the guy fights. If he uses a weapon to resist and the cop pops him there will be millions crying, "That fascist cop killed him over a joint!" No, the cop killed him because he resisted with deadly force while the cop was trying to enforce the law or ordinance that the legislature passed. But, that simple step in logical thinking is too difficult for the NORML fanboys, weedheads and liberal arts majors. So, your idea is effectively unenforceable.
now swap weed with alcohol. That’s the problem with every anti weed argument. It’s made by good ole baws who love a col’ beer after work. You can’t say you hate weed but alcohol is okay because the same issues you point to with weed are there with any vice. What’s the difference to you in someone resisting arrest over marijuana vs resisting arrest for public drunkenness? And you’re much more likely to catch someone resisting while drunk than you are someone stoned out of their mind.

Does this happen a lot when they're enforcing cigarette ordinances?

I've been convinced that teenagers and marijuana don't mix. Prefrontal cortex development is real. For every anecdote about "well, I went to high school with a kid who smoked weed every day and he graduated with honors," there are 10 or 15 kids who became losers along the way and lowered their acheivement ceiling.
it’s not legal for teenagers? So you’re already complaining about something that is illegal. What’s the point of this take? Ban all weed so junior doesn’t get his hand on some skunk? What about alcohol? Probably not good for a 15/16 year old to be drunk either. Kills brain cells, but they’re gonna do it anyway.

I work in VA healthcare. We see quite a few vets that come in here and proclaim weed as a wonder drug for anxiety. That is until, they imbibe less than the usual, then they come in begging for something to stave off the rebound anxiety.

It has few therapeutic benefits, and very limited at that. Anyone saying otherwise is full of shite. Oh yeah, and it smells like shite as well.

so these vets are saying that weed is great for their anxiety, but you are saying that it has "few therapeutic benefits"? Interesting.

Did I say weed should be completely banned?

I’m in my late 30s and know plenty of people that are just pot smoking bums. Like everyone. Now though, I’ve heard of way more psych ward cases with people going manic from just smoking weed and sitting at home

The whole weed is great and non addictive though is bullshite.

Young men have never been more single, lonely, suicide rates keep going up and unemployed. While drinking has never been lower.

Now do narcissism (social media attention), hyper consumerism (the joneses and disciples), money status, gambling, and dare I say religious zealots.

Versions of shittiness. Throw in a-hole posters like me if time permits.

Yes! God's Gift to us all causes you to drive calmly, measured and without the need for road rage. Lots of friendly waves to other motorists and plenty of Pink Floyd playing through the speakers.

maybe get new neighbors? If your not smoking flower outside nobody around you would know you partake. Thc pen is no smell, gummies obviously, and even smoking inside isn’t going to permeate through your neighborhood. So if you walk outside and can smell it that strongly that means you live around a bunch of habitual pot smokers.

Weed is completely illegal in Georgia, you should see how safe our roadways are, how unlonely and well employed the young people are..
