Oh no no no. It's FAR more likely it's a giant leftist fascist communist conspiracy to keep MAGA from getting re-elected. How could you be so naive as to think an almost brainless government worker could frick something up so bad?

If that is the case, why do these instances of incompetence always work to benefit one political party?
Like in the 2000 election in Florida? You're smarter than that.

These nursing homes are just too stupid to understand how this testing works. It's actually more severe than they think
I've seen several talking heads make this argument. I know you are being sarcastic....but that's real.

CMS has done ten times more to hurt patient care than it has to improve quality in NH’s.

Yep, somebody hit sort wrong in excel, fricker up the numbers and didn’t realize it, and now we’re making policy based on it.

manipulating numbers to a meh level.
One of the nursing homes with 80 beds was listed as having 794 cases. That is meh? If only 10% of nursing homes have been inflated that much, that's kind of significant

Not just wrong - embarrassingly wrong.
This isn't an accident. Just like overstating the original study just about anyone who had ever taken a stats class could see.
This was all done on purpose.

Is this true?
I'm having trouble as always sorting through BS stories vs stuff that might be true.

these are the kinds of numbers that are being used to keep people quarantined and businesses running at 25% for the foreseeable future.
think it's a scam yet? what will it take to convince people?

I don't know anything about the website not being in the medical field, but it looks like a well run medical information site

That's pretty bad. Is anyone else reporting on this I'm not familiar with Medpage Today

Here is an article when I just searched from the Washington Examiner, I guess it could be biased
