These are nice but a nurse doesn’t need this. A regular Littman is all a nurse needs (assuming they aren’t a NP/CRNA)

Are you talking about one like this?

Do you have preference on color?

I think I still have a cheap Littmann that I hardly use. People rave about the digital ones though.

I use a Littmann II Classic, works fine. You can get them between 95 and
$110.

I’ve also worked with plenty of physicians that don’t use one on a daily basis.

Where was this? Warn people so they don't go there.

Pick any ER in New Orleans and you will find them. It's a single tool used in diagnosis. There are other parts of an exam and diagnostic tests that can lead to treatment.

Been doing this 35 years and tbh the disposable stethoscopes are better than the $200+ dollar ones. Don't believe it? Just do a side by side comparison and see which one you hear better with. The difference is remarkable. You want to get her a nice one, just pic the one you think she will like the most, but function wise she's better off with a 50 cent one.

Not sure of your background, but I've found about 25 cases of Atrial Fibrillation, aortic stenosis, and bigeminy/trigeminy- not counting incidental loud murmurs. And that's on people that had no cardiac complaints when they presented into the office. I would never touch a patient and not listen to their heart and lungs. That's just bad medicine.

Littman is the standard. Don't buy any other brand.

A nurse that works in any critical care setting should absolutely have one of these. A regular Littman is shite compared to a Master Cardiology.
