Louisiana is the furthest southern state from the Northeast. South Carolina is booming, but only because the Northeast is moving there.
I worked out of an office in Maryland. All of them were talking about moving to NC and SC. Like everyone. In only the 1.5years I was there, 2 actually did it; moved their entire family to Carolina for a lateral work position.
