LSU didn't do anything besides post a similar picture, as mentioned in the article. Misleading thread title by OP

I do find it comical that the only kind person offended by this has no chance of becoming a cheerleader in the first place.

That being said, I've gotten pretty good at filtering through things that will potentially cause an uproar from SJWs, now I just need to find a way to capitalize on my skill. Perhaps I can advise colleges on all communications for a nominal fee. In this instance, I would have recommended a minority woman or no woman at all in order to minimize the potential backlash. Now that'll be $5,000 for my consultation fee.

yea okay because mens tryouts are a walk in the park with no judgement or condescending remarks.
i'll throw a bone here, but guys aren't being judged for their looks as the ultimate goal. Any ugly slob can protect the rim, or block, or throw 90, and we'd cheer him

Looking like a cheerleader is something SJW's won't ever have to worry about...

Doesn't seem like they are promoting anything except what to wear to cheerleading tryouts

Do they really need an infographic for this?

Should be pretty damn obvious, right?
Should have just posted this:

So instead of posting an image showcasing what they're looking for, they should just send out a note that says, "don't waste your time jelly belly"?

I know you're playing devil's advocate, but neither are cheerleaders. It's akin to being a gymnast - if you can execute the routines then you can be on the team.

There is really no need to say a "healthy, athletic figure" is required for cheerleader tryouts IMO. The actual demands of the "sport" will eliminate anyone who doesn't have an athletic, healthy body in the first place. That doesn't mean the backlash is warranted though.

I can't believe I'm defending cheerleaders this much.

The girl in that picture is much more athletic looking than the Washington one. There's nothing wrong with that poster.

This type of information precedes almost all auditions.

You can be the most attractive woman on the planet, but if you are not over 5 8 you won't be considered for a lot of modeling jobs.

What do they want to cheerleader audition post to say? "Be physically weak and overweight." "Use lots of makeup." "Put on lots of jewelry."

Most cheerleaders that I've known are petite, taller than a typical gymnast but often similar in build. There's a reason for it.
