Yep. That's not a problem until it is a problem.
I would say it's bad optics considering that LSU just had two non-student men who were wanted for murder crashing in an LSU dorm.

LSU needs to put up an actual wall with check points. The hood is just too much and some of these kids aren't able to detach themselves from it

LSU is too close to some bad neighborhoods. Hell, if I was a 20 year old and knew there was a huge and free block party with hundreds of people my age half a mile away, I'd walk over and check it out too.

Went this summer for a tour with daughter and most of the kids on campus for the break were black.
Also, totally unrelated, part of the presentation was to say LSU was a testing optional school.
Spring 2025 enrollment was 57% white. How different is that than the early 2000s? Is it trending even less white?

It seems as if LSU is exploiting black HS graduates. It's an easy money grab. Market easy entry and diversity, then take their TOPS money with the expectation that they'll drop out after first semester. LSU knows these kids will never make it to Junior or Senior year.

It is an every day thing for them. I'd like to see lsu become a walking campus. They could buy up land and build parking garages. Focus security on the garages and entrance points

Tate reversed that trend and went back to actually using metrics to accept students and the quality of student went way up
