Manu public schools in other states are just as good or better than the best private schools in Louisiana.
if you pick very select areas of very good culture
statistically, i don't even think this is possible b/c i know the top privates in LA put out a standardized scores that are pretty high

Plenty of whites and asians.
ETA: Are you trying to make a racist thread by saying the command denominator is no black people? Shame on you!

Well, let's be honest, when you can hand-select your students, you'll do pretty well, right?
Large public schools in non-trashy areas will have gifted programs that will compare favorably to the all-white (for all intents and purposes) private schools of Louisiana.
People that live here want to go through life pretending that their expensive private school gives them an advantage. It surely does, in Louisiana. In the rest of the world, not so much.
And to reiterate, I would never send my child to any Louisiana public school and that includes St. Tammany.
Bring the downvotes

Part of the problem with education in Louisiana is that it took you this long to figure out how poorly our education system is run/performs.
You sir, are a part of the problem.

2. Security. There is absolutely zero denying the fact that public high schools in Louisiana are simply not safe places to be for students, amongst each other
Are you serious? For me, I grew up going to a middle school in California and we've walked through metal detectors everyday, not to mention the random k-9 locker checks; this was at a school that excelled in academics and kept their reputation with a mixed student body from different socioeconomic backgrounds, diverse ethnicities, and a wide range of academic capabilities.
I went to a small town high school in Louisiana and security was a joke.
ETA: It's hard to compare La school's to other states' schools. Lafayette High has 2500 students while other schools in different states are at least 4000+ student body.

To be fair, lack of editing on a message board post is not indicative of ones's level of grammatical proficiency. It is a larger function of haste and typing issues on a mobile device.
Its about time someone other than me pointed this out.
I have seen PLENTY of people who have very good social speaking skills make terrible mistakes on message boards. In the age of auto-correct (more like defect), you would think people would be more aware of this issue.

The only people who say that either went there or send their kids there. Educationally, it doesn't compare to LHS's honors and gifted programs.
