How bout this one? You got in it, and it would go round and round like a ferris wheel. Meanwhile you would be spinning and spinning. And if your lucky the guy operating it would give you a nice spin also!
Yesssss!!!!!
Dad and I rode that at the peanut festival in the early 90s and I got sick. Probably all the fair food. We rode it again last year since they brought it back.

I was just about to ask if anyone had a vomit story from the Gravitron.
A girl in my 5th grade class yacked on that ride and it got on other riders.

A friend of mine was riding it the same time I was and lost it. Thankfully he didn't puke until it was slowing down and almost stopped, so it just got on him and the floor beneath him. then we stumbled outside and puked about 3 more times in the grass/dirt outside

I never rode it or the ride that resembled a pendulum that went back and forth. Those 2 rides seemed like the most likely to experience a major equipment failure.

It would almost be worth it to start a separate nostalgia thread just for the music but for now I'll just add songs here. The 80s had so much variety:
Take notes current R&B "artists", this is how it was done in the 80s
The System - Don't Disturb This Groove (1987)
and for the more obscure. Rarely is a top 40 song so obscure that I ALMOST forgot about it but this one came close:
Opus - Live is Life (1985) (a 2008 "live" version...no pun intended.

Anyone remember the sitcom "Small Wonder". Awesomely bad sitcom about a young girl who is a robot.

Yep. Even at ten, I knew that was a terrible show.

Yeah I remember that. Main thing I remember past the horrid acting was how it was creepy they made a sitcom where a fully grown man builds him a lifelike robot that looks and acts like a prepubescent girl.

The two Coreys
Before parents went crazy about what should be on the playgrounds of MCD's property. There was this bad boy.
"What do you call a kid that can __________ like that? They call that kid a cracker jack! When you are really good they call that kid a cracker jack!"

Another great find. This from the 70s. You had your old time radio. With nobs and buttons that i would probably have a time figuring out how to work at first. Old time AC/heater in the car. And unlike now, most if not all cars had a lighter that you pushed in and popped out when it was ready. And the ash tray that you pulled down to use!
