Northwestern ain't gonna pay him anywhere near 100%. There's too many layers of upline there.

If you desire a career in law enforcement, please follow your dream. I worked for the state police and retired after 20 years. I then went into the insurance industry with a pension in hand(allowed me to sell the right way). Both careers, if done correctly and honorably are rewarding. I will retire this year with no regrets and with blessings beyond anything I ever dreamed of. The company buying my large book of business certainly will not hurt. Good luck and contact me if you would like.

Lloyd Plaisance is senior agent at NM in BR......have known him & family since high school.
Class act all the way round......he was my Mom's agent & she loved him/NM.
I'd suggest you talk with him directly.....it's not an easy sell initially, though like others have said it can be very lucrative once you get established.
Send me an e-mail.....boodreaux@fishingfloridaradio.com & I'll give you my real name to use if you want.
Good luck!!

I'm in law enforcement for 13 years now. I posted earlier about my unsuccessful run at new york life. I make a salary of 55,000 plus could work details at 30$ hour but choose not to. I walked away from insurance after a bad sales experience and got phone book out and called agencies. Best advice is go civil service. Work for a state agency and not a parish

I appreciate it man! I'm a bit nervous about it and hope I get the job I want. I want to start as a jailer and get post certified then become a deputy and eventually be a K-9 unit. I have a high school diploma an associates degree and sent them my resume as well.
Should be getting a call for an interview by the warden next week. That's what I was told when I physically went and introduced myself and let them know I'm serious about the job. I know at first it doesn't pay great but once I'm post certified I can get detail work as well and move up the ranks.

You are an IAR and don't know the difference between a pyramid scheme and a Ponzi scheme?Furthermore, you thought NWM is a pyramid scheme? How long have you been in the business?
I do know the difference. And no I was replying to someone else that stated that it worked like a pyramid scheme. I was defending NWM.

GalTiger, Where do you live? If in La I would look at LSP. They just got a major pay upgrade, you will be protected by our Civil Service type program. You will not be serving at the whim of an elected official. They require prior LE experience OR an two years of college.

Don't do Northwestern Mutual. Just reading all of this, it's not for you. If you want something in the financial field, be a financial advisor. Then you can sell insurance, investments and everything else.

Most companies pay around 100% on the annual premium. You sell your young poor friends a $50/mo policy that is $600 in your pocket
Be careful if you annualize your commissions on a monthly premium. When your young, broke friend dumps the policy there goes that money you've already spent.

The highest payout one.
I just made that up. I didn't do anything out of the ordinary today. I just wanted people to know it could be done.

Last I heard you could do all of this at Northwestern Mutual, as long as you have the right licenses. In todays world:
A. Investment Firms sell Insurance/Annuity Products and Banking products.
B. Insurance Companies sell Investment Products and Banking Products
C. Banks sell Investment Products and Insurance Products
Ones stop shopping and MLM concept

Alliance Indexed, with an 18 year surrender penalty and a 10% commission.
