The biggest question is how long did it take NOPD to respond to the call. I am betting at least 30 minutes till a car showed.

But Lakeboy7 told me New Orleans is fine and the news reports are just blowing things out of proportion and the city is what it always has been.

So I googlemap that intersection area. All you gotta do is look at that area and say "no way I'm stopping for anything".

someone probably just closed their little boutique shop or whatever for the day and had the cash from the drawer in a bag for it to be deposited tomorrow.

What are odds that this was planned and knew who they were robbing or did they just luck into finding a lady with a cash bag?

If I am at the correct intersection, I see some less than stellar apartments--one building which is half burnt down--across the street from some surprisingly dense woods.

Yeah. Not the most comforting intersection.

Steal bumpers and large tires with high ground clearance. Someone in front of your vehicle threatening your life, hit the skinny pedal on the right.

yeah that doesn't make sense. The point I was trying to make was that the OP thinks the quarter, downtown and the warehouse district are all located in the East

Wtf are you babbling about? Uptown, Qtr, the East, Lakeview...its all New Orleans and crime isn't discriminating as to geography. You can spin as you like but, but none of it is good.
May not be as awful as some allege on here, but you're effort to dismiss it is foolish.
And I don't see where the OP suggested anything of the sort you said they did.

So there are monuments in NO East that need to come down?
