The requirement that all officers reside in Orleans Parish severely limits their talent pool.

Also cops are made to take and pass a personality assessment, a multiple choice questionnaire. If they fail, they are allowed to take the assessment two more times, so the probability of lying is very high.

The City did away with domicile requirements a few years ago. But what you said, along with the City's disastrous takeover of off-duty detail management.

I know an officer that lives in pearl river county MS and travels back and forth to the city for work.

Who in the hell would want to join any police force in today's social climate? I read that Mississippi is literally begging for state troopers right now. It's a no win occupation.
