frick your dumb bride if she thinks 10-15k isn't too much for flowers.

my logic is have a cheap, easy, stress-free wedding staying far within a reasonable budget and use the money you DIDN'T spend as a down payment on a bitchin house, so y'all both can build equity. maybe even get your cars paid off and take some awesome vacations with all the money you saved on not having a dumb 15k floral arrangement FOR ONE DAY!

morons.
spending 7k on a dress. 1-3k on cake. 5k on catering. 4-6k on a band.
Good God is there a single male that believes this shite?

You are clearly a jealous female

We aren't religious so there won't be a church involved. Just going to have a ceremony and reception in the same place.

Felicity Church (decommissioned) can do the ceremony and reception. Its a really cool old building if you are into that. Its a unique venue.

Go big and get Oak Alley.

No need to endanger your guests with the necessary warnings about where to go, and also no need to spend your tax dollars on Mitch's new political agenda.

Leaching? Having parents pay for a wedding is leaching?

Look, I am sorry your parents couldnt pay for yours. That sucks. However, it is time to stop being angry at others "privilege." It will just eat you up inside

We're looking at having around 200 guests. As far as budget goes, I think 15k is a number we're trying to stay below.

Not going to happen. NOLA is the most expensive city in the country to get married in.

Edit: it may have been the most popular destination wedding site, not most expensive. My bad.

This response is a fake as the lsugrl who acted like she didnt want a nice wedding.

If your parents had the ability to help you out with things, you would accept it. And if you didnt, you are an absolute fool.

I have friends in NYC get married during the week in order to get cheaper pricing, and it was still outrageous

I could be wrong about that - but I felt like I read that somewhere.

Perhaps not the most, but it's got to be way up there.

Yeah I edited. Now that I actually think before posting I believe it was the most popular wedding destination site. Got confused because I'm not a smart man.

I dont think it was that dumb. Honestly, in comparison to average salary for the city, it is likely the most expensive city for weddings....
