I was right there with you all the way to

Better, maybe but top notch almost doesn't exist anywhere anymore

I urge you to visit Chick Fil A to see where you are wrong on this.

One can live in the GNO and avoid all those issues. Pretty easily and still have a short commute. Jefferson, St Bernard, and St Tammany all offer better Quality of Life for a lot less money.
Seriously. I have friends who have been robbed multiple times. But they still look down on Jefferson Parish like its the Northshore or something.

A few months ago some of my parents friends had some of their money “disappear” after they set their water bill payment to automatic withdrawal. fricking nuts if you ask me.

Just this past weekend NOLA.com ran an article in which the workers were complaining that they worked so much OT that they had no life and that they were resentful about cameras being installed at the Carrollton facility to ensure they weren’t sleeping on the job. Frickers are rolling in OT money. I bet you if tomorrow S&WB hired 20 more operators and all overtime was eliminated they’d be on the news crying that they don’t make enough money. All while being incompetent at their jobs.

I had a billing issue and went straight to the top by emailing the deputy director of SWB. 2 hrs later I check my account and the issue was resolved. Good luck
Also, don’t sign up for auto pay for those clowns.

Recently, about two or three weeks ago, the a/c went out at the St Joseph St office. So they only opened from 8 - 12, to avoid the afternoon heat.
Five workers were transported to the hospital for heat stress. It was MAYBE 90 or 92 that day. Not one, not two ... But FIVE!

Probably used two weeks work of sick time to “recover” from this heat related illness.

corruption to the max, nepotism abounds-married couples over seeing different departments using different last names, shaking vendors down and theft...

We have done some contract work for them. You have to call the control rooms before you arrive so the operators have time to wake up before you arrive. If not you will arrive to a locked door and no one will answer it.

This or call your councilman. Mine was resolved within a week after six months of dealing with their “customer service”.
