If you go through Natchez, get on US 84 to Archie, at Archie take State Hwy 28 to Alexandria and get on I49 at Alexandria.

That stretch of blacktop has me almost ready to start using the interstate. At least it's only about 11 minutes worth of the drive.
yep...it will rattle your fillings loose, though.

Thanks to everyone for the suggestions.
I am leaving at 3 from Metry and I will probably know about 3:45 whether I should go north or go west thru B.R.
Is there a camera on line that shows the westward flow of traffic from say I-10-I-12 split toward the bridge or north up I-110 towards the old bridge?

Many are being a little dramatic on here. I-10 to 190 to I-49 and you will be fine. I've done that route many a time at a similar departure time and had minimal problems in BR.

I49 is boring as hell. I like to go up 71 or 1 every once in a while just to see something different.

Recently my waze has told me to exit 190 to 71 for 15-20 miles before getting on 49. A welcomed detour.

I like trying different routes and seeing new places. Randomly going up 1 drove me by False River. I’d never been there. It might not be that great. But I thought it was a neat little place.

All roads lead to New Roads.
