Exactly. There’s a nope to like the pockets of these ticket providers. I doubt TS gets it. That said, my daughter is going but got in on 1st round and tix much less.

Agreed.

I wouldn't pay the current resale value for the ones we paid face value for BUT I wouldn't sell ours for the current resale value either.

Something is always worth what someone is willing to pay.

I paid way more than face value for my 2007 NCG Tickets and sat in the nose bleeds. The game mattered to me. I had a damn good time. Would I have put myself in debt to go, probably not.

I assume his wife and daughter feel the same about the concert.

All of this nonsense just so people can post pictures on social media of themselves attending a concert.

That’s truly what is driving the $2000 ticket prices. It’s sad….pathetic actually.

Agree too

I paid $500 for '03 title tickets in the plaza.

I probably wouldn't pay $500 today 20 + years later for the same seats BUT I would pay $1,000 for a Masters ticket.

Worth it or not is so individualized it's impossible to answer for someone else.

I don't think this is the case, I think most people (that go to the concerts) generally enjoy her music and think it is a once and a lifetime experience.

For context, Super Bowl Tickets in the nosebleeds are selling for $5,400 a piece right now. Sunday tickets to the Masters are $2,000 per. . Monaco F1 tickets are $1,700 a piece. World Series grand stand tickets last year were $1,500-2000 a piece. People will pay that and more because it is what they enjoy.

I am sure Taylor Swift fans laugh at what Football fans are willing to spend. Football fans probably laugh at golf and F1 fans on what they are willing to pay, and so on.

Look, I am probably the biggest Taylor fan on this website so I have a lot of trouble telling you not to buy the tickets, but that is so much money.

The concert is awesome, and they will have a great time. But its over 3.5 hours of show, that is A LOT for a child. Everyone I have seen who went with their kids, the kids fell asleep part way through.

Maybe just watch it on Disney+ again and hit up the next tour, if you can get tickets then.

Those are once in a lifetime events

Taylor Swift isnt a once in the lifetime event....neither is Disney World or some trashy Carnivale Cruise

Face value on Ryder Cup tix for Bethpage are $750/day and they will certainly sell out.

Look at domestic airfare prices, cruise prices, broadway tickets, etc too.

The cheapest face value for Post Malone at The Wharf was almost $300

I just spent almost $1800 on two tickets to see two Broadway shows in January (four tickets total).

The only thing that really surprises me about the cost of these Swift tickets is actually how cheap some of the fave value tickets were.

Give the girls an experience neither will ever forget. Drive them to a restaurant before the show and pick them up after so they don't have to worry about parking in the city

Odds are they will both forget about it ten years from now as there will be a newer younger star that is more popular.

Taylor changes her costume every performance and does a different surprise song set every night, so technically each show is once in a life time, just saying.

These are once a year events. How many shows does Swift play this year?

People can spend their money anyway they want but the Taylor Swift stuff has definitely blown my mind.

I was a freshman for the 03 title game and did not win the student ticket lottery. In 07 I was a 5th year senior and it had gone to a priority point system and I got 2 tickets for a total of $350 in the student section. Missed the 11 game but was not missing 19. Paid $1000 to sit in the 600 level. It was worth it to me. And it was amazing. All this to say I guess I can’t judge my wife and daughter for wanting to go. Just get the credit card out and let it go.
