I have a couple of thirty-somethings and their wives visiting with me in Biloxi and they are thinking of driving over to NO for New Years. Any recommendations for good places to go? Or not?

If the weather's decent, you might want to get drinks in large go-cups and head up to the riverfront for fireworks at midnight.

The crackle of semi automatic pistol fire warms the heart at midnight. If you don't already have reservations somewhere, be wary.

Apparently Panic at the disco is playing at or near Jackson square. That might be interesting. Free concert...

This is what I would suggest.
There are plenty of music venues having concerts. The Hyatt has a huge party.

If they don't want to be around crowds are deal with the weather, they can go to the Westin hotel and watch it from the upstairs lobby and have drinks.

Head down to Jackson Square
Drink lots of touristy drinks (hurricane, handgranade, etc)
Fire handgun into the air at midnight multiple times
Get hit by a falling bullet and have to go to ER
Spend lots and lots and LOTS of money

100% chance of severe thunderstorms from 9pm until the morning. It's going to suck.

Yeah, bad weather for sure; even a flood watch in effect. Thanks for the recommendations.
