Looks like ole Mitch may just have to remove them himself.

I truly don't care if they come down or not. I don't live in NOLA. And last time I was there, I didn't go see them. I just don't understand how it can rile someone up so when - through legitimate local governance means (the supposed holy grail of governance) - it's been determined that they be removed. Seriously. It didn't rile anyone up until Mitch started this crap. No one even thought about them. Most people I guarantee couldn't tell you who the statues depicted or where they were all located except for the Lee Circle one.

Sorry, that doesn't address the sad specter of the girly-men being riled up in the first place. You literally could not get me to pull for a private businessman to receive death threats and destroyed property based on something to do with statues. Yet in this thread, we have several doing just that. And they complain about so-called "SJWs."
