CITY OF NEW ORLEANS REAFFIRMS COMMITMENT TO HURRICANE PREPAREDNESS AND PUBLIC SAFETY

NEW ORLEANS —The City of New Orleans today issued the following statement:

NOHSEP Director responded to the City Council regarding this topic during today’s Utility Committee – Hurricane Preparedness meeting in Council Chambers.

NOHSEP will continue to work in close coordination with local, regional, state, and federal partners to prepare for and respond to any emergency or disaster, whether that relates to hurricane or tropical weather impacts, or security threats to the City of New Orleans.

The CAO’s Office is open to working with all departments on their needs while balancing the needs of other City operations and remains committed to making sure that public safety has all of the necessary resources to keep our City safe.

I dont care either way on those thrown out of the running, but the violation (from what I gather) is that the law states you have to file your taxes on time for 5 years leading up to an election. Doesn't matter if your taxes are squared away, cant even be late?

Can't wait for this to catch a more prominent candidate in the future, if that's the case.

For those who live in NOLA, are you confident in the current leadership IF a hurricane approaches? Latoya will be out of town or drunk somewhere. Just think if that twa* Moreno gets in. She swore up and down as a council woman to get those electrical towers upgraded a few years ago. Anything yet? Friends, yall are up shites creek without a paddle. Quit living in denial, and go. Oh, a storm is coming. Be patient

Why was Destroya allowed to run for re-election?

Did Teedy authorize this gross manifestation of potential help to the general public?

Public safety? Did they tell that to the UNO student who was shot in the neck & paralyzed when his perps walked out of jail last week?

Might be the catalyst to the new law.
