Sarcasm baw. We know what you are doing. You are arguing against someone's assertion that minimal tipping would hurt the business financially, by contrarily postulating that it would only financially harm the worker. We get it, but that isn't really important. Don't you have Notre Dame fans to harass or something?

Please do explain to me what is actually important here. Being butthurt a chef said something mean about someone?

No, you were trying to use the fact that it has happened before as an excuse for you doing the same. Nice attempt though.
No, not really. I can't believe you can read minds through the internet, and know people's intentions by a simple sentence.
I've never been to Garcia's restaurants ... now I really won't go. He did the exact same thing that people like him have been complaining about the president doing for four years.
Plus, when I was in college, I worked for a lawyer. He did stupid, illegal things. He was dibarred and jailed, and I was out of a job. It sucks that employees suffer for the employer, but it happens.

Not going I can understand.

I don't really give a shite what people are mad about. I just posted to say what a stupid thought process it was to go eat there and pay for the meal and then stiff the staff to send a petty message.

Well I never proposed such an idea, but as I said its tOT and people were just annoyed at the insensitive remarks and double standards and were probably just saying goofy ideas, but if they want to do that, that is certainly their prerogative.

Then that begs the question as to why my responses bothered you so.
The funny thing about double standards is that both sides have them. Maybe one day people will wake up and realize both sides are being played for fools but I'm not holding my breath.

I'm not bothered more just a little bit confused trying to decipher what your reasoning is or why you care to even come discuss any of this.

I thought I just made that clear. Someone made a stupid suggestion about screwing the workers and I pointed out that it was a dumb way to try and send a message.

That's what I've been saying the whole time.
However, another poster said to leave shitty or no tips ... and then people were saying that doesn't do anything except hurt the wait staff.
Which is true ... but it also hurts the owner.
With the restaurants I'm familiar with ... when Covid shutdowns started ... unforunately, the servers were let go of first because people weren't tipping, and the restaurant owners could budget better with their salaried employees and the ones that were paid a certain wage per hour.

All of that was hypothetical discussion, and really hypothetical economic discussion, which I just found out you don't believe in anyway so that is why I was confused baw.
Either way, some people will stop going, some people won't and will feel the same way because someone told them that Letlow was a "covid denier" and that will be the end of it most likely. Accordingly, whatever happens financially to that guy's restaurants will happen. It's the cost of the marketplace of free speech and ideas and its correlation to real world business.

I ain't half as dumb as some of y'all think I be.

We'll let it slide this once on NYE. But one more melt about the 2019 LSU GOAT team and thats it!
Posted on 12/31/20 at 9:21 pm to BorrisMart
It's about to be 2021. 2019 is getting that much further away. We gots a playoff game tomorrow.

Even most of the mongoloids here understand basic arithmetic. You aren't convincing every patron to not tip, so there's absolutely zero shot your one or two no tip checks are pushing Garcia into having to pay people out of pocket.
Posted on 1/1/21 at 8:52 am to Louie T
The irony, of course, is that the group most likely NOT to tip will be the groups Garcia supports.
