You park your own car unless a valet driver picks your car up from a nearby hotel.

This was the NOLA serial killer's work. The valet driver knew something regarding the two bodies found along the interstate recently (one was dismembered). He drugged him, put him in the driver's seat and somehow made the accelerator stick, causing the car to accelerate at a high rate of speed, jumping the 18" concrete barrier, and smashing through the window to plummet 50 feet below. Everyone assumes the crash killed the "driver" and by the time the autopsy shows otherwise, the killer had time to regroup.

News reports confirm it was a man. No word on if the driver was the owner of the vehicle or not.

That's the floor beneath the one he jumped. I assume that window was broken by the barrier.
