As a kid (circa early 1950ish) I remember taking a nap, in August, on the floor at the screen door entrance. All we had was an 18" Oscillating Fan. Those afternoon thundershowers were nice.
The first night we had A/C (giant 15,000 BTU Fredrich Window Unit) I thought I'd died and gone to heaven. My chronic head congestion cleared up.
Mr. Carrier you da man!!

If you know no other way, then it’s normal. Our normal is 65 - 70 degrees for comfort.
