CHICAGO (Sun-Times Media Wire) - Two people were wounded in shootings within 24 hours Friday as colder temperatures moved through Chicago. In a 22-hour span, between 12:30 a.m. and 11 p.m., no one was wounded by gunfire.

The last shooting Friday wounded a 39-year-old man who was walking underneath the Green Line tracks near the CTA’s Laramie L stop in the West Side Austin neighborhood.

Sad when something like that is actually newsworthy.

The fact that someone NOT getting shot in a major US city is pathetic.

Way to go Chicago.

It’s been 3 years and 7 months since Chicago went a day without a shooting.

Kinda hate to break up that streak now.

What the hell does cooler temperatures have to do with it? Are thugs like squirrels or something with an internal clock influenced by the seasons?

That is actually exactly it. Summer numbers are significantly worse cause nobody wants to shoot each other in a blizzard.

Yes bone Rattling cold and blizzards have one good effect in that crime stands still for those few days. But seasonably cooler temperatures in early fall is not going to make my change so that’s why didn’t get the comment

Thank Trump for the low African American unemployment numbers.
He’s doing work everywhere in America.
Gotta love the Orange SOB
