The victim was 15 feet away and unarmed. Other than a little pushing, the only person causing danger was the man holding a gun.
People think shows like justified make shooting someone look cool.
Guy killed a man over nothing and did it in front of his kids, all for the sake of pride. I hope they put that little cocksucker in jail for a long time. Should have just called the cops.
Not saying Chad Read was in the right, but shooting him was anything but justified.

Justified
But wasn't in something along the lines of he was supposed to meet them there to pick up his kid, and they were 3 hours late and wouldn't give up his kid?
If true, they're essentially kidnapping or holding his kid hostage during a time the kid should be in his care, that would change the situation greatly IMO.
But I don't know if that was ever proven to be factual.

Rumor was she initially thought he shot him with a paintball gun or pellet gun and thought he was just stunned. You can here her act the end of the video screaming that he actually killed him

He shot off a round before dude tried to grab the gun. Did you miss that part?

Not a rumor, she said it on TV when she released her video.

These dudes knew each other, were Eskimo brothers, shared custody of a little kid.
Hard to believe the younger sloppy seconds guy felt the need to shoot and kill the old man over a custody dispute.
That kid is going to slit his fricking throat someday, he's gonna have to sleep with one eye open for the rest of his life.
All over some used up middle aged pussy. What a cuck.

Which part of the "little dick man" holding a gun pointed at the ground was the threat to him?
Maybe just the presence of the gun itself?

He went into the house to get the gun. He escalated the situation.

I recall the OT being split down middle and even a 60/40 debate on POli

He murdered that guy. Maybe he doesn't get charges against him, but he absolutely murdered a guy. He's a piece of shite and makes all of us responsible gun owners look bad. He should be completely disowned.

That frickheqd never should have been standing on his property

im not rewatching the video but didn't the victim reach for the gun at one point i remember that? but honestly he shouldn't have brought a gun out in that situation. just stupid.

He may be well in his rights to shoot the guy, but he definitely escalated the situation.

What kind of moron goes inside to grab a gun over a situation like that

quote:No doubt. If he could walk inside his house, he could just stay there and be safe. But like you said, he may be within his rights because it's his property...that just doesn't mean it's what he should have done.

Same thing on the other side. I know I've mentioned the kid a couple of times, and if all that is true, it's definitely warranted that he'd be pissed and emotional. But...when someone comes out with a gun AND when that person fires that gun, it's probably best to go ahead and leave the premise. If he truly felt his kid was in danger, then I'd 100% get it. But look at his actions, they didn't suggest that at all. If he truly thought his kid was in danger, I don't think he would have reacted the same way, so just go ahead and leave and call 911 and figure it out.
Everyone played that shite so poorly, regardless of what may or may not have been legal.
