But people doing the whole "oh muh gee, 2020 is the worst" becuase an 87 year old woman died after her 5th or 6th bout with cancer, are virtue signaling attention whores.

It’s not “that she died” it’s the ramifications of her death at this specific time. People on all sides should be very worried for the implications of this. I really think this is the most significant death of an American of the 21st century (and I’m all ears if you have a rebuttal to that).

Social media is where people portray dominos like a trip to sicily, where people literally do not know how to use the word literally, where a regular day becomes the #WorstDayEver because they spilled a sip of coffee on their shirt and entirely too much is portrayed as reality because of what they want people to believe.

Robin Williams was the American death that effected me the most personally, but from national policy standpoint, not even close.

I knew who she was, but she was 87 and sick. It seems like it was just a matter of time.

On social media I have seen people post things along the line of "If a new supreme court justice isn't confirmed before the election democracy is in trouble".

And "We are in trouble if a new supreme court justice is confirmed before the election"..

At the end of the day, I am sure the earth will still be turning and people will still be able to live their lives no matter who is confirmed and when it happens.

I understand your position and agree, but I'm talking about the vast number of people who are legit acting like their mom or Jesus died. I'm sure it's motivated by the political aspect, but that only makes their reaction more cringey.

The people aren't fricked by this death, no matter what happens next. Jesus fricking christ. You're one of them.

It does in this and in many cases. Would you make this case for the Kennedy brothers?

Me? My post set up that George Carlin quote?

I am not sure what yall are trying to say. Isn't Carlin pretty much saying people are fricked because the world is filled with a bunch of fricking idiots?

I took that quote as agreeing with what I posted.

Does anyone really think that depending on who is appointed can have a huge impact on their life?

I mean, she was wildly liberal, but how do you not know who she is if you have lived in the states for 25 years.

Un-patriotic - no.

Ignorant - yes.
