Unless you are completely isolated, you won't be able to definitively know you aren't around someone who has the virus, so you'd have to get tested over and over again to be sure you don't have it.

right

which is why you should probably wear a mask and avoid getting too close to those individuals as well

but if you know you were around a person that tested positive, you should absolutely get tested as well

People who test positive are backtraced in terms of who they came in contact with. Those people are tested. And the disease is isolated that way so that restaurants, businesses, and schools can function normally.

Unfortunately, we have allowed this to be political to the point that many - some post here - refuse to accept social distancing and would refuse to work with contact tracers.

I was really looking forward to college football but I now give it a 10% chance. A month ago my probability was 30%.

Is this post from a bizarro world where the US isnt testing more than any other country?

The US isn't close to doing the most tests per capita. We have done the most total tests unless you count the Chinese "numbers".

If I'm around high risk individuals by choice we practice social distancing and follow CDC guidelines....

If they choose to come around me without my knowledge or consent, that's their choice.

bullshite...i'll self quarantine and IF I develop serious symptoms I'll go get tested..even then...I'd rather just self quarantine and let it ride out...per the CDC

Im not going get tested just because you and SuperSaint are scared

who said anything about being scared?

If I knew I was in contact with someone that tested positive, and I had to go around, say my wife’s grandparents, I’d go get tested just to be safe

That is all I’m saying

I’d rather go ahead and get tested than have to self isolate for 14 days

One problem with that is it is taking too long to get results anyway. Two employees just got their results frim 17 days ago. One was sick and one not. Guess who tested positive? After 17 days it’s too friggin late.
