I didn’t realize Ariana grande was a child star, here’s a sketch video of some shite they had her do though. I can’t believe this was actually aired on Nickelodeon. Everything about this video gives me the little white girl sitting in the couch with 10 dudes behind her vibe

Ordered her book but it’s out of stock at Amazon. Shows like Victorious and iCarly were always on my tv when my kids were growing up. But having seen multiple threads with “evidence” against Dan Schneider, it seems like a lot of overreach and conspiracy theory.
She had to be in a bikini in a show that teenage boys watch? The horror.
She felt uncomfortable about it and the guy massaged her shoulders? I’m going to need more evidence than that to convict a guy for pedophilia.
If that’s as elaborate as the evidence gets, I’m wondering if her book is just cashing in on the conspiracy theory stuff about Schneider. Does she ever accuse Dan Schneider of actual sexual abuse? Or does she just refer to “the Creator” to avoid a defamation/libel case against herself?
But I’ll withhold my judgement until I read the book. If Schneider is guilty of actual abuse, name him and press charges.

Did I ever suggest or say that I condoned anything? No. I simply described the reality. I don't think adults should have sex with minors, but that had zero to do with my post.
I also used a "young actor" rather than a "young producer" in my example to do away with the "person of power" issue.
Over the last twenty years, the issue has mitigated itself quite a bit. I'm an active member of the "Children in Film" group that deals with these issues and the laws in California for using minors in film productions. Everything I said is well known and often discussed in the group, and most responsible production companies have taken a lot of steps to protect minors (particularly those in that 12-17 group).
Up until the 90's, it was much more wide open. This is one reason why so many child actors are so fricked up.
As just to be clear, I'll say it again: Adults shouldn't frick minors, professor should not frick students, bosses shouldn't frick subordinates, etc. I've spent a significant portion of my career dealing with people who don't follow these rules.

Read that tweet thread I put in the OP. I’m sorry, the allegations are from ex-boyfriends and girlfriends of all these Nickelodeon stars. The allegations come from everywhere. And how do you explain the Jennette McCurdy video on the night Dan received his lifetime achievement award? frick defending this clear serial pedophile. Thinking about handing your daughters over to Dan “The Hymen Divider” Schneider to make some cash?

We tend to hear more about the shitbags, as there are a lot of stories about older actors and actresses actually watching out of kids. Andy Griffith and Ron Howard would be a great example (and Ron turned out to be a good guy). Ed O'Neill and Christina Applegate were the same way. He watched out for her and was a mentor.

She accuses someone called “The Creator” of abusing her, but she mostly keeps it focused on her mom from what I’ve heard. While It’s a safe assumption Schneider sexually abused her, I haven’t heard of any stories specific to her. She’s the one whose come out and heavily implied that he fricked her up.

Once the dam breaks it’s over. Schneider going down could have a domino effect. A detrimental thing 3 months from an election.
