Let's go back to this.
How is it ever dark anywhere? You can see the sun at all times from all points. Also, the north pole is perpetually in light according to this, but you've already said you believe the north pole does experience 24 hour darkness.

But, you used Wikipedia to back up YOUR claim...

There is a big dark area on your map. The sun is just near, and the light doesn't cover everything. Like a flashlight over surface. I'm not sure this basic map is the best. But if the north pole is 24 hours dark it is because the sun is on the tropic of Capricorn and the light doesn't reach the center.

It's clearly not to scale. But don't forget....light fades with distance. It's a pretty simple concept and you can test it yourself. Have someone shine a flashlight at you from 10 feet away and then 100 feet away.....

So, exactly how bright is the sun and, more interestingly, what is it made of and how does it work?

YOu don't understand how light works?

Mexico and Australia sharing a warm sunny day - make this work for me, please. I'm begging.

Yeah, if something can absorb the wave. What is absorbing light waves from the dome to the ground?

I didn't ask you anything about light. I asked you about the sun.

I find it kinda weird that NASA routinely sent crewed missions beyond low earth orbit, including the 6 lunar landing missions, over a four year period from 1968 to 1972. Yet NO human has been beyond low earth orbit since December 1972. I’ve heard the rationale for why that it is, but it’s still strange to me.

I know that. How does that work in your model?

Oh god....how do I even begin to explain science to someone that has never heard the word "sunlight" before.

"Hey guys lets spend $10 billion to take a picture everyone already has" totally sounds legit and not just a great way to pocket $9,999,999,750 of taxpayer dollars after buying Adobe Photoshop.
Nailed.
And funny -- nobody seems to mind, do they? This is why NASA can spend a gazillion dollars and still get pats on the back and "atta boy!"
It's a disgrace.
The "new Webb Telescope image" winds up being just another example of NASA/tPTB mocking the serfs with absolute contempt.
Worse than anything, The Webb Telescope isn't even an actual real "telescope". It's a mirrored device that will be used for other "targeted" tasks.

Because no one gave a $hit after Apollo 12. 13 got some coverage cause it almost ended in disaster. NASA shifted towards manning the ISS and decommissioned the Saturn project.
Additionally, how many times would you return to Disney World if the rides were never updated?

Try. Explain like I'm 15.
