More evidence that not only are opioids dangerously addictive, but they also frick up word usage.

how many people do you actually think are smoking it just for pain?

probably a pretty similar number to the people using pain pills "just for pain"

Serious question, does pot reduce pain and/or aid in recovery? I don't think I've ever heard that mentioned previously.

Would marijuana help with the pain that I'm suffering from?

Not necessarily a deterrent but marijuana helps control ain not only from the acutal pain itself, but from the side effects of opioids.

I have neruendocrine tumors everywhere in my midsection and I'm taking methadone (10mg) 3x times a day dilaudid (4mg) 2 every 4 hours, and flexril to help me sleep and relax my contracting spazzing muscles at the same time.

These drugs make me: Lose Appetite, constipate/hard poopoo, restlessness and sleeplessness in bed, body temperature fluctuations, diarrhea every 2 hours, cold sweats, hot flashes, sever nausea (like every 4 hours), and pain pain pain.

The great thing about marijuana for me is that it helps control the pain, builds up an appetite (munchies), helps my metabolic rate, makes me function ever more as a human being (enhanced physcial and mental abilities), and last but not least it makes you not care about the pain being there. Painkillers help control the pain but with weed, it helps to not care about the pain either.

Unfortunately I live here in Louisiana and I hoe to relocate soon to help me recover my concer battle because it's so hard to get access here to MMJ and it is expensive. And they all just give/recommend opioids and other shite that'll poison my immune system overtime. If I were you, I'd relocate to a better environment for better recovery.

I hope this helps

Good friends with a journeyman OL that was with the Titans for a bit. He's now out of the league, but he has told me that at least 50% of the league smokes regularly. He's been with, I think, 5 teams.

He named all the big guys in the league he's smoked pot with or talked about smoking pot with. He was starting for the Titans due to injury a couple of times and was smoking immediately after games with his teammates to help with general pain. (Mettenberger, Orakpo, and Lewan included)

ETA:
Ironically, he now owns a dispensary in Portland that he bought with his 4 years of NFL salary and rakes in the dough.

I may or may not have, but if I have, then I surely didn't care about the pain anymore. I just felt great, relaxed my mind was able to finally be at ease. That's only if I did actually smoke though...

Really? That is like it's original medical function. Pain and aiding against nausea.

Those things and the fact that it has been shown to kill cancer cells.

I've always known about the nausea aspect but guess I never fully considered the 'pain' aspect. I've always said that a one-hit a day keeps the doctor away but was thinking more along the lines of less anxiety and lower blood pressure in most people.
