I mean they're putting a fleur de lis on helmets the nfl has a point.

they can probably settle by not putting one on a helmet.

I know people here like to shite on the city, and I wouldn’t cross the parish line if I didn’t have to, but I think the city with its port is pretty meaningful…. And NO is recognized around the world, if you ask people around the world where Baton Rouge was, I bet they wouldn’t know. A major music culture was born in NO…

This. Traveling international, it seems to me that many people are at least aware of New Orleans.

They may not own the rights to fleur de lis', but they definitely own the rights to the Saints logo, which that clearly is.

So how many different fleur de lis logos does the nfl own? Because I had someone from the nfl tell me they own the fleur de lis with the line around it which the saints use now. The shirt didn’t have New Orleans or the saints name on it. I told him to go frick himself. The fleur Dr lis been around for hundreds of years.

Is that a helmet or a skull? Looks like a skull with spikes to me. NFL owns any skull logos to now?

No, they own images in the likeness of NFL logos in the team colors of NFL teams

Nothing has changed

If the shirt was purple and gold, white and blue, red and green, etc. no issue BUT the Saints are an NFL franchise with colors of white, black and gold

But no, dad pulled me away and wouldn't even let us go in that shop. That I really didn't understand. Now walking away I looked back on more time and tried to figure out why that shirt at the different shop said Hard Cock cafe instead.

Tough love Dad would have got it for you and let you wear it to school for the inevitable bully beatdown.

the FDL isn't the property of the NFL

That’s not a “FDL”. that’s literally the saints original FDL.

Saying “you can’t own the FDL” is like saying “you can’t own an eagle”. Sure. But you can own a specific illustration of one.

You’re very opinionated on New Orleans for a place you don’t live and have admitted only were here for a brief time.

How many have the Saints had/have? That's probably your answer.

There's a difference between these two:
