”End Racism"

End Cancer
End Hunger
End Obesity
End Death

These all seem like more worthy causes, effecting all classes and races. Why don’t we slap that on an endzone or helmet?

not really

Again, I never claimed to have principles about this.

I like watching football

I hate BLM

If the thing I hate annoys me I will stop watching the football because I don’t really miss it other than redZone on Sunday’s.

Otherwise I haven’t watched a second of any other sports broadcast since the super bowl and do not miss any of that

the only thing that you will see during the game right now is the "End Racism" in the endzones, which you will see on RZ, so...

Is this true?

Welp ole racist Joe hates minorities, but changed his mind once he saw that painted on the endzone. He loves them now

I don't know. Why don't you ask someone that made that decision?

if we did get them to add in those slogans painted in end zones or as helmet stickers, you think we would see improvement to those problems?

Seriously, anyone not watching football really wasn't that big of a fan in the first place

On the contrary, the only people I know still watching are people that don't know much about sports to begin with (women) and don't know/care/understand what the NFL has done. They just want to look cool by saying they love football.

That, and a few of my fantasy football nerd friends who are watching because of that

The men I know who have always been the biggest football fans are over it. Its the culmination of all of it. The politics thrown in your face, the players on Twitter.. not to count the real blow to your interest when the Saints were robbed of the Superbowl.

because you know the answers and what I’m driving at.

there’s no point in these statements or actions.
in fact they are likely causing more division.
and are certainly driving away fans.

but yeah, let’s continue protecting a false narrative to protect feelings.

So which executive order did Trump sign that closed down your bars and restaurants?

I'm glad you asked! He didn't, and that was the whole point of my saying he was incompetent in dealing with this.

He downplayed the severity of the virus when he knew it was airborne because he was so worried about his economy in an election year, when all he really needed to do was shut down sooner. We'd be opened back up in time for football now, but now instead we're behind the other countries.

His and this governments incompetence during this entire pandemic is truly disgusting.

Yeah. I know the NFL isn't going to solve racism with painting "End Racism" in the endzone

And yeah, I know some fans will not watch anymore, although most will probably return at some point. People have short memories.

I'm just much more concerned about the stuff that actually affects the play of the game, moreso than virtue signalling before the game.

You gave no credible statement to counter.

What part about bars still being closed, competing against an NBA playoff game (which they've never done before), and no preseason to ramp up interest was not credible?

It's all credible, you're just mad that you have no leg to stand on so you insulted me.

What authority does the President have to shut down businesses?

He has the authority to tell the truth. And I guarantee his followers would have listened and taken appropriate response because you guys are just so much smarter than us non trumpers

That wasn't my question.

What authority does the president have to shut down businesses, since you said he should have done so?
