There was an old Hospital in St.Louis, where people believe they were kidnapped as infants, and given to other families. Mostly black children, given to other black families. The mothers of infants were told their newborns died. I know a ton of info about it, has been destroyed or the people are dead.
Same shite happened in Ireland, the catholic church kidnapped infants and gave them to couples, as they were heading over to America.
Really fricked up. Imagine being the mother, told ur infant died, only to find out, by them contacting you, that they are alive, and have been for 30+ years.

Once I read the topic and saw that you had posted last I knew you were going to bring up this story. I watched a show on the exact same story a couple months ago.

If it was in St. Louis and catered to poor families, I imagine there's a better than average chance they weren't wanted by the birth parents. Especially if this was before NBA salaries began to skyrocket.

This happened in Tennessee too. My mom was adopted through that organization in the 40s. Changed birth certificates, different dates of birth, all sorts of nefarious stuff. They even made a tv movie about it years ago with Mary Tyler Moore.
