The only powers these guys have is in their head.

Somebody probably had a few toy sheriff badges, toy cap guns, and plastic toy handcuffs left over from a kids oarty they need to get rid of.

That feeling I get when I make it home safe, to my family, in the hope I might have helped my fellow homeowner do the same.

Our HOA Commettee of Compliance and Safety had a pretty good night. Of course, we didn't have the authority to arrest people but we were able to quell several events before they really got started. Only had one "almost fight" with a teenagers father and one chase of a 12 year old resulting in a mild takedown where nobody was injured. There were a few bottle rockets that made it out of the tube but with walkin talkies and agents posted in all quadrants of the neighborhood we were able to nullify the frantic melee of sustained fire that many of the offenders had hoped for.

-Knocked on 9 doors.
-Entered and confiscated illicit materials and contraband from 7 of them.
-5 citizen’s arrests total for what totaled over $7,000 in fireworks, alcohol, and marijuana (street value)
-2 stopped for DUI, 1 citation issued
-3 failure(s) to maintain control of their vehicle

And finally, on a more somber note, we came across something last night I’ve never seen in all my time with HOACWAA Patrol service. A local and prominent politician tried to bribe another officer and myself when we were interrogating him and his kids over some sparklers. Needless to say, we perp walk him before judge at oh 9 hundred hours this morning. Not on my watch.

Hey, BR I just read this thread this morning and wanted to see if you would be able to come to Madison, MS and put on a workshop for our HOA? I am Assistant Executive Chairman to our HOA and I can approve up to $4,000.00/year plus expenses for training and education without board approval. Anything over that would need approval, of course.

We are very strong in some areas like pre-construction and remodeling approvals but weak in areas like holiday patrolling. We had an incident where a guy hired a non approved contractor that removed and replaced 80% of the shingles with a crew of Mexicans in a day and half. We didn’t know any of this was going on until day 2 as he lived on a side street. Too bad the color had not been approved by the HOA. We shut that down immediately, put a lien on his property and made them start over. The color wasn’t that far off, but we decided to go ahead and change to make a point. He threatened to sue but one of our board members is our attorney and he said we had an air tight case, so we busted this clown. Maybe we can exchange ideas with you and bolster each HOA?

We really need help with our holiday patrolling. Halloween really got out of hand this year with unlicensed golf carts, animal control and non-neighborhood families coming into our area without prior approval. We had three bus loads pull up in the parking lot of a local church and just make themselves at home! They made a lot of our people nervous.

Sounds like you could get two Blackwater Operatives for a couple hours.

We can get much more with board approval. This initial meeting would be for exploratory purposes on matters of security, patrols, etc. We are starting to see elements of the urban areas spill over into our neighborhoods.

A truck was broken into recently and a handgun was stolen with some high end stereo equipment. We never had this happen before and want to get ahead of the curve.
