I currently have an 05 mercury that has 122,000 miles on it. I'm looking to buy a newer model truck or suv when it goes out. I've got a $30,000 dollar cash budget and am looking at a used F250 or an SUV.

What would be the best bang for my buck?

That F250 gonna have 6 digit miles on it if you aren't financing.

If you’re single get a 4 door truck with a tonneau cover.

If you’re married get a 4 door truck with a tonneau cover.

Ideally I would like something with less miles but 50-60 wouldn't kill a deal. Just wondering what it would cost to maintain the life of the vehicle would be.

Used SUV and for 30k your looking at about 27k w/o tax so your not getting much. Trucks hold their value you would be better off getting a used SUV but to get something “nice” your looking at something with 100k miles or cloth seats bare bones

Cars are stupid expensive these days

What do you need a f250 for?

I just bought in that price range and got a CPO F150 Platinum. If you don't need a truck, I'd probably go the SUV route.

$30k? Honda Ridgeline. It's a SUV with a truck bed. If you don't need heavy duty towing capacity it's a very nice daily driver.

I bought my current ride, a Tahoe, and one of my buddies first words were "why didn't you buy a truck?" in an amazed tone. He just can't conceive of owning a vehicle that isn't a pickup truck. We have a pickup truck in the family, I don't need one and wanted a SUV.

I don't understand people who consider a truck the only appropriate form of automotive transport.

I hate the newer look of the Ridgeline, otherwise agree with you.

Check out Donswholesale.com if you go the f250 route.

They usually have a good truck selection.

He can get a low mileage Nissan Pathfinder or a Ford Flex or something cheaper than that

I was assuming he wanted a full sized Tahoe or expedition
