I need to put a set of new tires on my wifes Honda Pilot. Should I go with the Michelin Defender T&H out the door for $1083.48 or go with something cheaper and save a couple of hundred dollars. I am not going to put some piece of shite tire on my wifes car so everything that I am looking at is nearly $1000 anyway and the Michelin is the top rated tire.

Go with the Michelin. This is a situation where going cheap could get you killed one day.

Need pics of wife.

Spend some extra on tires and get run flats. I do not want her to get a flat on the way to my house.

Cheap doesn't necessarily mean lesser quality. Tires are like anything else and you pay extra for name brand. I usually just search Amazon and/or Walmart online and read reviews. I never buy anything period if it doesn't have a good bit of reviews and good reviews at that.

Yes. I think I am just looking for someone to tell me to go with the Sumitomo's for $910.

Go to Allied or somewhere respectable and get something almost as good for $300 less.

People who put all this stock into tires saving their lives(or not) are stupid.

Bald tires and bad drivers kill people, not Continental vs Michelin.

One thing to confirm before you buy the Michelin’s: compare the load and speed ratings to the OEM tire that came with your Honda at purchase. You definitely want to meet or exceed the original weight and speed ratings.

what is your god damn tire size? $1100 seems retarded for that vehicle.

were you happy with performance of michelins?

were they truly worth any extra value with the lifespan you received vs warranty of other brands?

are you absolutely going to drive this car for another 60k miles?
