I saw between 70 to 100 on Prytania looked like 1/4 mile long stretch of these guys.

Yea- these dudes are out often. I don't get logistically how it's not addressed though I guess maybe NOPD snags 1-2 of them here and there.

The pic of the guy with his kid on there just pisses me off.
I have cared for kids that were paraplegics from ATV accidents. If that ATV flips over(and onto the child)...that's it for that kid.

Last time I went home I saw a bunch of these guys-lets say a lot of minorities- on ATV's, dirt bikes, and 4 wheelers riding up and down Lakeshore drive and up and over the levees behind people's backyards.
I suspect either the police will take care of the problem or it will get so bad that Darwin does his work and the problem eliminates itself.
Of course NOLA being NOLA you can't rule out the eventual Mad Max situation either.

I can understand getting pissed about people acting a fool on ATVs and putting other people's lives at risk, but if you're riding normally how is it any more dangerous than riding a Harley? genuinely curious

Depends on the biker but most I know are street legal. But that can also depend on how many patches he has.
