Best thing about gun control and the people who believe in it... criminals know they don't have guns... some of them liberals would rather be dead than be hypocrites lol

Statues must still be up, otherwise the crime would disappear.

There were no armed robberies or carjackings within the confines of the Audubon Zoo.

Well, that joke and crime would both end if the statues would just come down.

what does removal a statue have to do with crime today? if the city raises the fees on parking meters will the same people be saying that the crime would stop if the fees weren't raised?

or will people say that the mayor has "no time to worry about this and should be focusing on the crime" to raise the parking meter fares because he should be fighting crime?

I'd like to see the same stats for the Bay Area

I can't imagine it's up 200%. And of course, depends on where you are.

My neighborhood is one of the lowest crime areas in SF and it's in South central/southeast SF

Or Metairie, apparently

Looks like criminals prefer to sleep from 5:00-7:00 A.M. and do most of their work at high noon and midnight.

This board would explode if theyd give a demographic breakdown of who is committing these crimes.

Why? We already kind of know.

They need to remove all the fishing boy and lawn jockey statues from the Garden District also. This must end NOW.

Thank goodness Mitch has been working to take down those statues. That will put an end to all crime in New Orleans once it's done...

NBC Nightly news just ran a segment on the French Quarters privatized police. Claimed crime is down 39% (think that was the number) since Torres(?) started the privatized police and related phone app. Anyone else just catch that segment?

Down 39%? Gotta be some selective statistics there...ain't no way that's right.

I've said this a million times but this won't change until they start ratting people out. Right now, noone knows who dun it... They've got to start taking pride in their community and realizing how bad this makes the city look. Once they do that, they should start telling police who did it and quit protecting them.
