Must have "limped" into that tree pretty fast. It's been awhile since I've heard of a car catching on fire after impact.

It will have no effect.
There will likely be a candlelight vigil in the hood with lots of wailing and moaning, crying and shrieking, and calls for someone to end this senseless violence and loss of life. His mom and friends will talk about what great guy he was when he wasn't stealing shite and selling drugs.
One minute after the candles burn out, it will be business as usual in his neighborhood, because product ain't gonna sell itself.
Parents, or the lack thereof, are truly to blame.
Sad that the kid lost his life, but in all honesty if he's stealing cars at 16 then he actually lost his life a long time ago.
