Last seen sitting in an abandoned car lot.

I doubt they stay there long. At this point they're probably in pieces or at a black market auction.

I guess so, NOLA didn't need it

If it was needed it would have went up at another location

Mitch has a fever, and the only prescription is spending more money on taking down statues.

Says the guy from Chalmette that the only attraction to da Parish is Val Reiss which FEMA paid for.

No. Was it the boosters who raised the money to build the soccer complex.

I believe the statues were paid for by private funds as well. The pgt statue took a 22 year collection. All Nola residents I'm sure.

Yes. That's how much the city spent removing the monuments

You're naive, no stupid, if you believe that dollar figure.

They were already kind of beaten up when they were sitting in that lot.

And an enclosed structure was built around them.

That is unfrickingbelievable. Every person in Nola should be fricking furious.

It's borderline grounds for impeachment (do you impeach a mayor?)

Does anyone know where i can get one of the Take Em Down Nola Tshirts?

The website doesn't have a merchandise category.

Honky being an idiot

I'll believe there were private funds when I see exactly where they came from.

Regardless, $1 mil would be way too fricking much.

Thread title doesn't say "statue removal cost 2.1 million" (like the article you just linked). It says "NOLA spends 2.1 million," as if the city paid 2.1 million themselves.

Its misleading and you know it.

Again, I'll believe there were no private funds used when I see it. They've already lied since they spent more than zero.
