I got a parking ticket that I haven't paid yet and went to check it out on the online system. It is currently showing every single parking ticket that I've ever gotten on that car as unpaid and it shows every single parking ticket I've ever gotten as past due.

I'm going to just be paying the one from last month, but now I'm worried that my car may still be showing a bunch of unpaid tickets dating back like 3 years.

Has anyone seen this, any ideas if I should be worried or how to rectify this mess. Maybe just get a new license plate?

What color is your car? If it's anything but white you may have a case for getting the tickets thrown out

If Toya got you on some list showing that your tickets are unpaid, then you better straighten it out but quick or you will find yourself booted and/or towed.

If you don't straighten it out now, you are going to be out of pocket lots of money at some point and it will not be reimbursed to you.

Waste of time calling people. I think the parking bureau is in City Hall but sure. I would go personally and see if you can talk to someone. If they don't help you, you may need to get proof of paying the tickets.

I actually had luck with getting a traffic camera mistake fixed by going and talking to the people. They were surprisingly helpful.

How did you pay previous tickets, surely you did not send in cash. You should have documentation somewhere.

Last Fall the city of New Orleans was the victim of a massive cyber attack. It effect a bunch of departments particular the courts (civil, criminal, traffic) were all temporarily shut down.

It was costing tens of millions and months to repair, when the virus it. Most online city sites were back to 100%.

It might be worth just to call them on Monday.

Thanks, i'll try that. I just paid the most recent one - my registration is about up anyway - if I don't get anywhere I'll change my license plate / registration and be more careful about making sure they get out of their system.

I may be wrong about this, but I think you need a reason to get a new plate. Can't just go in and order one up. Depending on your "reason," may not want to sign any oaths attesting to the truth of the matter. Just sayin.

Worse comes to worse I can unscrew the bolts, drive away - at some point it will fall off and i can truthfully say it was lost.

I'm not too worried because I got a New Orleans parking ticket last month - so maybe its just a glitch in their online system because if they still had my plate with all these "unpaid" tickets, you would think I would have just gotten booted at that time.

Too bad the credit card companies don't keep old statements online, where you could access them and print out the proof that you paid them. Because that would solve your problem.

I think they only keep online records available like that for a few months - pretty sure I have to request past statements from my bank if they are older than like 6 months.
