I don't believe this for a half a second.

Are you saying the city and media are hiding homicides?

If you kill enough people, you run out of potential victims

I think it’s a combination of things. It was significantly trending downward before LSP and Trump. But I do think LSP has helped further continue and strengthen this trend. Also granny Kirkpatrick gets credit as well. Nationally, crime has been trending downward since 2023.

The national guard were only just deployed. And NOLA was on pace for this record before the national guard.

I don’t particularly care for the reasons, as long as it continues downward.

Teedy going to take credit for this

I’m no Teedy fan….however, if she gets blamed when things go wrong, shouldn’t she get credit for the positive things as well?

Seemed in 2022/23 there was a lot of unrest with gang violence that has worked its way out in whatever form or fashion. Almost all the interstate murders were able to be traced back to individuals with checkered history or closely related to those people.

Seemed to end when a certain guy was killed of I10 in the east. The specifics escape me but the guy killed someone and he was also killed by return fire. After that is seemed to calm down but it could just be I didnt notice as much.

Tyree Quinn and Johnell Hampton were the names given during that incident.

The fact Nola's violent crime is almost perfectly tracking the violent crime rates nationally argues that it's not due to any particular policies by any particular city.

Our society just went off the rails 2021-mid 2023
