Remarkably, no.

Hell, if anything, I actually miss Nagin over the two shitheads who’ve come after.

Nola is a cesspool within a cesspool. Louisiana’s downward spiral is criminal and beyond comprehension.

I can’t wait until the city council starts digging deeper into this, the state auditor and Lee Zurik is going to request all her expense reports for all these vacations.

Who pays for all her fancy clothes and suits for all her trips and appearances?

Who pays for all her meals? Who paid for those corn rows?

This ain’t Ghana go away

As expected. Basically they sent me a $500 bill one month when every bill I've ever gotten in 7 years has been $150. They reversed it but my complaint was that they said they were reading the meter when they clearly werent.

Imagine getting a $5k and $2800 in the same year. That was fun.

On reports about my family’s tax payments: “Unfortunately, our family has been struggling with this debt for years. We are working with tax experts to resolve and pay this off as soon as possible. It's very painful for this news to be made public, but I know many of our city's residents face similar challenges, while they work hard everyday, of keeping their homes. I still live on Louisiana Avenue Parkway like I always have, and will continue to work side by side, everyday with our residents, for a better future for all New Orleanians. We are all in this together.

The Mayor earns $140,000 a year and her husband, a defense attorney with a private practice earns at least $100,000. The Mayor also receives a lucrative insurance and retirement package as well as a car and driver at her disposal. In addition, the Mayor graduated from Xavier University, earning a BA in sociology. and completed executive management training at Harvard's Kennedy School of Government. Her husband had an undergraduate degree and graduated from Law School. They are well-educated people compared to the average New Orleans resident. The Median household income of a New Orleans resident is $36,964 a year. 60% of New Orleans residents have a high school diploma or less as their highest level of educational attainment. Yet, unlike the Mayor, most of these people do not have liens placed due to habitual unpaid taxes

Wow, that statement enrages me.

What a disingenuous count trying to compare herself to everyday folks in Nola. Acting like she's still struggling yet her household makes about 8x's the average Nola household.

Pay your fricking taxes.
