I'm not saying that what you're saying is completely wrong, however, the OT let's New Orleans occupy too much of their mind.
For people that supposedly hate it so much, y'all sure seem to think about it a lot and visit it often.
Easy solution, if you hate it so much, don't go/stay down there. Unless, you have to for business or something, but you could always stay on the outskirts and don't have to roam around the city.
