The state AG needs to get involved
Civil Service jobs in N.O. are locally held jobs under the jurisdiction of the city and not State Civil Service jobs, so I don't know how much weight the AG will carry.

OK, so the Office of the Attorney General sent a message and that is what is expected of it. Let's wait and see what becomes of it....
It's in the City Civil Service's court now.

Same here. At most, they may be issued some sort of suspension for a period of time and it's a crap shoot if it's one with or without pay.

Then we go about defunding the New Orleans fire department

My guess is you'll get better odds of hell freezing over before anyone is simply fired from a Civil Service job.
It's not as easy as it is in the corporate sector to fire someone from Civil Service related jobs, and even if fired, there is a very strong likelihood they would appeal it and get re-instated complete with backpay for time suspended and punitive damages in the lawsuit.
Just reassign her arse to some menial firehouse job like cleaning up after the firehouse dog.

They seem to only be referencing Ashley so far and not the communist guy

Damn I went to gradeschool and highschool with her. What a count!
Oh shite. I had almost forgot about her and her twin sister. What a psycho.

When you do something that is a very obvious violation of the laws pertaining to civil service employment, it's actually pretty easy. I've seen good workers get shitcanned quick over a single lapse in judgement that pales in comparison to this.
Yep. These people’s jobs are saving lives. Her posts demonstrate a “selective discretion” as to whom she would consider “worthy” of being saved.

It’s New Orleans. Wouldn’t expect anything less.

NOFD has put out a full written statement on social media. Idk how to post.
Appears they’ve heard the outcry.

They just said an administrative review is under way.

Doesn't really seem like they got the point.
