And this, among many other things is why New Orleans can’t have nice things.

frick you and frick LaToya

Plenty of people got furloughed in the private sector and didn’t get anything. Why does the government constantly get bailed out with our money?

So, you get time off from work, collect unemployment, then get your salary paid anyway.
Someone correct me if Im wrong, but I thought you didnt get unemployment when you are furloughed. But are allowed to go look for temp work while still being with the company and receiving benefits.

The frick you think I did? We had 70K + medical calls during 2020. Did I earn it? I believe I did.

If you worked and weren't paid, that's illegal.

If you didn't work and got unemployment you shouldn't have been paid your salary back for not working.

Something here isn't adding up and you won't address the valid questions so I'm going to assume you didn't work, got unemployment which in my opinion you are entitled to since you paid for it, and still want the government teet

I wasn’t ignoring your question I didn’t read it right.
Yes, so basically I got 3 unpaid vacations.
Excuse me. So I was unemployed for 72 straight hours without unemployment like the rest of the world.

And while that was happening the city was undermanned and under protected so they hired overtime. So it cost them more money while the scheduled people sat at home.
I mean be a Dick and try to justify me not deserving that money. Or the scheduled overtime because we missed three days. We’re use to it.

Anyway...we’re getting our money and we deserved it.

Is this considered a furlough?

Are you a member of a union? Were they okay with a working furlough?

What happens with most gov furloughs is they force you to cut your hours by whatever percentage. In this case the article says a 10% cut, so OP's hours were likely cut 10%. So whether he wants to admit it or not, this is being paid to not work.

But now they are paid. And you did no work to earn that money. Thanks for finally admitting that.

I wasn’t paid to work. I wasn’t paid at all. I was sent home and made no money although I was scheduled. I didn’t collect unemployment.
I mean what is so hard to understand. And what is your gripe with firefighters getting their scheduled money?

You aren’t making any sense

Are you saying you deserve to be paid because you were forced to stay home for 3 days and not work? Explain to us how this is “your money”.

shite the restaurant industry was forced to stay home for 9 months.

What is the point of cutting hours to just pay whatever you saved? Your hours got cut, tough shite. Many others lost their jobs.

You sound like an entitled twat that has zero understanding of anything.

You didn’t work, why should you be paid? That’s how most of the country operates. You work, you get paid.

frick you for calling it “your money”. It’s OUR tax dollars that are paying you. And no you don’t deserve to complain about not being able to work for 3 days when most of the country hasn’t been able to work for a year.
